Submission Policy

Style Guidelines

1. Submission heads
Articles: 6,000-10,000 words
Notes: 4,000-6,000 words
Comments and Book Reviews: 2,000-4,000 words

2. Form of Submission
Submissions must be in electronic or in hard copy.
All submissions must be word-processed, in Times New Roman and in conformity with the NUJS Law Review Citation and Style Standard.

3. Foreign words
Foreign words not currently absorbed into the English language should be italicized, e.g., "inter alia", "bona fide" etc.

4. References and Citations
The Rules of Citation and Style are to be in conformity with the NUJS Law Review Citation and Style Standard. (click to download). (164Kb.pdf)

5. Book Reviews
Book Reviews should include all relevant information relating to the book reviewed. It should include the title of the book reviewed, the name(s) of the author(s)/editor(s), publication information, i.e. place of publication, name of publisher, year of publication, total number of pages inclusive of the index, the type of binding (soft cover/hardcover) and the price of the book.

6. Abstract
All submissions must contain an abstract of not more than 200 words.

7. Co-authouring of papers
Co-authoring of papers between individuals of the same or different institutions is permissible.

8. Credentials of author(s)
Authors must indicate their academic and other relevant qualifications, including details of degrees completed and the name of the universities/institutions that the author is a part of in the first footnote of the paper.

9. Dates
All dates mentioned in the paper must follow the following format: January 4, 2012.

10. Reference to Article, Section, Clause, Regulation, etc.
All references to any Article, Section, Clause or Regulation in the paper must follow the following short-forms or symbols:
- Article(s): Art(s)
- Section: §
- Sections: §§
- Clause(s): Cl(s)
- Regulations(s): Reg(s)


Formatting Guidelines

- A one line gap must be maintained between all paragraphs and headings.
- All paragraphs must begin with a one-inch indent.
- All hyperlinks must be in black colour. The hyperlinks must not be underlined.

2. Submission Date
We accept articles on a rolling basis from external contributors.

3. Covering Letter
All submissions must be accompanied with a covering letter, indicating the name of the author, title of the submission and a contact address of the author, including the e-mail address.

1. Exclusive Submission Policy
Submissions are accepted for publication on the condition that they do not infringe the copyright or any other rights of any third parties and that the work does not contain any obscene, offensive, defamatory, or racially prejudiced material.

Submissions are accepted for publication on the condition that they do not infringe the copyright or any other rights of any third parties and that the work does not contain any obscene, offensive, defamatory, or racially prejudiced material.
